Podcast: Play in new window | Download ()

This episode is about famous Cajun DJs, including a lot of emphasis on Camey Doucet and Johnny Janot. Since I already have pages on the site about those two individuals, I am not going to post too much right here.

This is 1975 newspaper article about Cajun DJs. The list of names here is great, and provided some valuable leads to my own detective work.

Here’s a song by Johnny Janot. Most of his stuff is definitely in the novelty category; this one is not.
